carpet was dirty, upholstered furniture needed cleaning, curtains over air conditioner were shreded, we had to change rooms as the room was too small for four people. The new room was bigger but had the same dirty features as the first room plus the tub was very slow draining and the toilet backed up. We had to end up taking showers and using the toilet in another room before leaving for home. Breakfast food was good,

A cozy stay with delicious breakfast

Waking up to a good breakfast spread made the mornings brighter. The staff was cute, and the cleanliness was great.

It was close to the interstate

The walls are VERY thin. You can hear everything - even conversations being held in normal voices. The carpet was nasty.

the room was very large and comfortable. The staff was VERY helpful. The HI S-R was just off the interstate but the mountain shielded the view and kept the noise level very low. The proximity to downtown Roanoke was great.

Smoking was permitted in many rooms and the spell did permeate the hallways. As a non-smoker, I found this distasteful but our room was absent of any tobacco smell.

Perfect location and comfy pillows!

Staying here was ace! The folks at the front desk were super friendly, and the place was clean and fresh. Gotta say, the pillows were like clouds, best ever! The only bummer was the breakfast area got a bit crowded. The picnic tables outside were a nice touch for grabbing a bite. 10/10 Recommend!

The staff was super friendly, helping us out when we were lost after driving for hours. The breakfast was stocked well, they had a decent coffee bar that was running 24/7.

It was not inexpensive but still manageable.

The rooms are spacious and well maintained. The staff is very good. There is enough parking space. The Wifi signal was good.

It is on the highway and not in the main streets of Salem. So you may feel isolated and lost, if you do not have a car with you.

I enjoyed a peaceful weekend stay at this hotel. It was an incredibly clean, great facility, and welcome staff. Located right off the highway, it was very convenient and surrounded by beautiful, mountainous countryside.

I just wish the check out time was later. (It was 11AM.) I could have used an extra hour.

Easy on and off from highway.

First room they gave us had torn curtains and terrible caulking in the bathroom that was sloppy and black with mold. Carpet was stained and dingy. Bed linens were stained. Overall cleanliness of room seemed grungy. I complained and they moved us with no argument. Second room still had stained and dingy carpets. The bed sheets were so worn you could practically see through them. Huge thousand legged bug in bathroom in the middle of the night. Overall cleanliness of room felt just ok, lots of dust in places that had obviously been passed over many times. Price of $150 per night was way too much in my opinion and did not include breakfast.

The room I booked was top-notch and well-appointed and provided with sofa, bathroom. The pool was nice, very very good breakfasts with a beautiful view of the sunrise, bacon. The hotel has particularly good and perfect location not far from stores and restaurants, Hampton Inn Salem and Connecticut.
